School teacher fleur de lis embroidered collar shirt

Slutty Brownies

I used a 9x13 glass dish. Start with the bottom layer, which is 2 bags of Betty Crocker chocolate chip cookies according to directions. Even it out in the glass dish, next layer whole oreo's on top of cookie mix for the middle section then top with your favorite brownie mix, make sure you add extra chocolate chips! Bake on about 325 for 30 mins. Checking with toothpick in various areas, it should come out a little gooey not dry, be sure not to over bake.
Not sure about the name but its delicious!

My version of Blue Tomato's Dumpster Nachos

There is a local dive called Blue Tomato on Jefferson Hwy. & Central Ave in old Jefferson.  (Near Harahan, La). Our favorite thing to eat there is an appetizer call Garbage Can Nachos.  It is an 8" pizza pan loaded with delicious Mexican chips & ingredients.  This sucker is pretty big, but if we have all the kids we opt for the Dumpster Nachos which is a 12" nachos with even more food.  This is a serious size app. It's actually more like a meal for 5! For dinner tonight we decided to make our own version of a garbage can nacho but it turned into a dumpster...lol
What we used:
- Tostitos Artisan Southwest spices chips
- La Costena whole black beans
- Old El Paso refried beans
- 1lb. Ground meat or ground turkey
- Old El Paso original taco seasoning
- Pace medium chunky salsa
- Chi-chis green enchilada sauce
- Can of yellow & white corn
- kraft Mexican shredded cheese
- Light sour cream
- Guacamole
How to make:
Brown ground meat/turkey, sprinkle with onion & garlic powder. Drain grease. Add taco sasoning & water according to packet dirctions but also add 1 cup of Pace salsa. Cook down until most of water is gone. Put to the side.
Get your pizza pan, layer a generous amount of Tostitos chips. Heat refried beans until soft in microwave, drop globs on chips & gently spread covering as much as possible.  Next, sprinkle taco meat, corn & black beans (straight from can no need to pre-heat) and lastly top with shredded cheese.
Place pizza pan in broiler until cheese is nicely melted or slightly brown. Maybe 5-10 minutes. Remove from oven & drizzle green enchilada sauce, qucamole & sour cream all over.  Enjoy!

House Rules Wall Art created with Silhouette cameo

Great reminders for kids & teens! It's always better when you indirectly tell them how they should behave...lol...Created the design using my Silhouette Designer software. Used a piece of 9x11 pre-cut foam board that I purchased from Michael's craft store w/40% coupon of course. I then cut black vinyl letters with the machine, removed black background so just letters remain,  stuck transfer material on top letters, peeled away & placed on foam board, framed & finished!
Super fun, fast & inspiring.

Silk unsweetened Almond Vanilla Milk

No more cow milk for me. To much fat & sugar!

I use this in my coffee, smoothies & Whey protein shakes. I can't tell the difference but I'm all about trying to live a healthier life, mostly because I don't like fat on my body. I gave up white bread, pasta & white rice for whole grains, I just cant give up the coffee & cookies. Whole milk & 2% is high in fat & sugar, 1% & skim are just not so tasty. So, this unsweetened Almond vanilla milk lets me keep the coffee without the extra sugar & fat. I have tried several brands & flavors.  This is my all time fav. so far.

Momogramed Little lamb luggage tag - Silhouette Cameo

Cut out this cutie pie luggage tag with my Silhouette Cameo machine for my niece.   Added some sparkles & flowers for a mixed media look. The back has her name & addy which I sketched with the black pen then cut out a scalloped border attached with a few zots. Going to laminate it, then it's ready to go traveling.
I can't live without this machine!

Spaghetti Tomato Squash Casserole

Saw this fabulous recipe and had to try it. Since this was my first time cooking Spaghetti squash I was a little nervous but willing to venture out for something healthy. It was worth it because it was really good, even the teens said it was good.
Here's a link to my version on my TalktoKate blog

Felted Monkey Craft

Got this adorable Felted Monkey kit from Michael's Arts & Crafts (one of my favorite places...big smile) I love Hobby Lobby too but there isn't one close to me :o (

Anyway, the monkey took a bit of time to complete. I think I used way to much wool on the limbs because they look too thick/big. This was my second felting craft so I'm cutting myself some slack. No matter, the monkeys cute & I had fun anyways.

I pooped today t-shirt created with my Silhouette machine

A funny friend of mine decided he needed a t-shirt just as funny as he is...

I used my Silhouette Cameo designer addition software to create the stick-man added the words and set my Silhouette machine to cut out the smooth black transfer material.

This was my first time doing a transfer material. It was extremely easy! I did buy the kit tho from Fotobella, my absolute FAVORITE place to purchase supplies for my Silhouette machine.
